Matt Maxwell has over 25 years of mechanical construction experience in a wide variety of industries. After graduating from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1997 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Matt went to work as a Project Manager for a large mechanical contractor in Texas. During those 7 years he was responsible for managing multi-million-dollar projects in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and semiconductor industries. In 2004, Matt joined Bobby Robertson as a partner at RMC after years of working as a pipefitters helper while attending college at Texas A&M. With the partnered efforts of Matt and Bobby, the business continued to grow. Bobby retired in 2010 and Matt has continued to operate and grow the company as the sole owner of RMC.

In 2018, Chase Berendzen joined RMC as a Project Manager, bringing with him seven years of experience with a large mechanical contractor in Dallas. His work developing and managing HVAC and plumbing projects helped him build many lasting relationships within the industry. Since joining RMC, Chase has continued to expand his expertise throughout the East Texas region, contributing significantly to the company’s substantial growth over the past seven years. His leadership and dedication have been vital to RMC’s ongoing success.

Brian Gist serves as a Project Manager with Robertson Mechanical Contractors, supporting industrial and commercial projects throughout East Texas. He is responsible for coordinating project planning, field execution, scheduling, materials, and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
Brian brings a strong background in hands-on mechanical construction and operations, allowing him to bridge the gap between the field and the office. He works closely with owners, engineers, and superintendents to address constructability challenges, manage evolving project scopes, and maintain progress in active plant and facility environments. Known for his practical problem-solving approach and clear communication style, Brian focuses on delivering reliable results while supporting both field crews and client objectives.
